Berkshire Mansions

Dubbed "the inland Newport" in the 19th century, Lenox, Massachusetts was home to scores of mansions - the famous Berkshire "cottages".  Today, only a handful of these great estates remain,  but Lenox and the mansions are still central to the Berkshires' rich cultural life.
